Longwood Park is one of my favorite parks to take the kids. The playground equipment is some of the nicest I’ve seen around here. The large “castle” playground for 6 to 12 year olds is fun to play on, and the best part is that it’s all sheltered from the sun, under a huge, blue, canopy. As of May 2009, they installed a new state-of-the-art prototype playground for children aged 2 to 5. 96% of the solar radiation is blocked by the Apollo shade system, while the children are protected against accidental falls by the Softile safety surfacing.
